If you check your Backup Exec job logs, it will tell you if the verify phase failed. RSM can interfere with the library. If you have two drives in the T, only run one backup job to one drive.

Want to see if one of the drives is causing SCSI bus interference with the other drives. Before getting in the replacement parts, the CRC errors were happening consistently at the 1 hour 20 min. Since replacement one of the backup jobs did fail during the Verify portion but after there was a log entry stating that it had succeeded to verify.
So after I changed it to do both I did not get the same error for that particular backup and it ran successfully, but when the next backup tried to start, even though the tape was already inside of the right drive, it failed with the "Robotic Library Hardware Error" which took the entire library offline.

Also, when the event viewer reports that the "tape device is not ready for access", this means that the OS has lost communication with the tape device tape1 , which is your second tape drive. Once this occurs, the OS will normally remove the device from the device manager. If you run a device rescan from the OS device manager, the device may re-appear, otherwise you need to reboot the server. Make sure that the robot appears during server POST.
