I removed the superdrive from my machine last year, so I downloaded the appropriate installer from Adobe's site. I launched the installer and input my key, which was accepted, but in the list of custom installation options, I was not able to select any of the core products Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver etc , only ancillary products like Acrobat, AIR and so forth. I went with the standard installation instead, but this still didn't install any of the core products.
I contacted support via a chat session which was completely useless and unhelpful, the answer I got was it's registered to someone else and we need to know the correct email address to whom it is registered before we can help. I have never registered it to anyone else and I still own it. I previously had an activation problem on my old pc but that has not been a problem on my new pc.
In a previous chat session about my activation problem I had to give my serial number. Is it possible that the session was not secure and someone stole my serial number and during my deactivation and reinstall it has been registered to them?
